Leah is 8 years old and was diagnosed with Wolfram Syndrome, a progressive neurodegenerative condition with optic nerve atrophy. She is treated at UNC Children's Hospital. Leah is currently learning braille and wears protective eyeglasses. She has type 1 diabetes and requires use of insulin pump and continuous glucose monitoring.
